Only if Keane is playingWill there be a bloke in a corricle picking the balls out of the mersey on match days
There have been a lot of folks on here saying that the pitch won`t fit, but what if it went the other way, they find out that they have so much room for the pitch that they could have added 10 more rows around the perimeter, taking the capacity beyond 62k, and still got the pitch in easily
Didn't they also have a moat between the pitch and stands at one point?Joking aside, I am sure that is what Barcelona did about 20 odd years ago. They lowered the pitch and put more rows in around the touchline.
I'm surprised that Arsenal haven't done that yet with the Emirates Stadium, the gap between the first row and the seats and the touchline is huge. Even accounting for the 5m gap rule between seats and touchline they have plenty of excess space.Joking aside, I am sure that is what Barcelona did about 20 odd years ago. Wonder what angle that lower tier is at? Looks horribly shallow. Reminds me of the London Stadium.I'm surprised that Arsenal haven't done that yet with the Emirates Stadium, the gap between the last row and the seats and the touchline is huge. It was in the early 90`s they did that, but they were focused on getting as many people into the ground by way of several add ons to the ground, they were left with having no option but to knock it down and rebuild at huge cost. I never got to see the ground in the flesh but heard that it was a bit of a let down compared to other great stadiums. San Siro in Milan was the same, looks amazing but the facilities were terrible and there are plans to start from scratch with a new modern ground.Joking aside, I am sure that is what Barcelona did about 20 odd years ago. In this diagram of the current compared to a proposed it goes from around 10° (current/old) to 25° (proposed/new)Wonder what angle that lower tier is at? Looks horribly shallow. Reminds me of the London Stadium.

Yeah especially when compared to BMD South Stand, which I think is the middle option (32°) shown here10°! That is shallow!
been in the lower tier away end and thought it was a really bad game day experience.Wonder what angle that lower tier is at? Looks horribly shallow. Reminds me of the London Stadium.
