It does, yet it also seems as though the deal still has work to do to make it happen. Odd then that he would so boldly proclaim a 2 year timeframe. Good to see him responding to fans though.

I think we have them on occasion now but if we were based in/near the city centre it is suddenly a bigger attraction to anyone visiting Liverpool. Also, stadium tours, museum visits etc. all become more attractive.

I am not massively keen on tourists coming on a match day, unless they support Everton. However, the revenue that the club could bring in through stadium tours, experiences plus increased brand exposure would definitely be higher if based on the docks.

Imagine our fantastic, glittering history being presented in a professional way in a brand spanking new state-of-the-art stadium! It would be incredible!

Joe Anderson is our bitch at the table of Everton, yet at Peels table, we are their bitch. Joe is backing both horses in a two horse race, if the docks don't happen hes the 'saviour' of Everton by offering space at a favourable rate, if Everton end up on the docks, he only ever had the good of the city in his heart. This way he potentially takes votes from Evertonians with his ridiculous notion of a stadium in two years before a site is even determined, and he also keeps votes from less tribal fans whose main worry is the city. If he can align to 50-60% of the electorate he's in a good position.

The fact is, Everton want the Docks, and that is where their efforts were certainly focused the last I knew. I doubt that has changed much in the last few weeks.
