New Everton Stadium

I was there once before and the atmosphere was great. Even though you can be up very high you are never far back from the pitch which helps your view of the game. The roof was open that day. Setting a first in having the retractable roof would have been great as the big features being the blue wall and the viewing area at the players tunnel are all feature already in place in stadiums already in operation, so they feel like we are following others instead of setting new standards. Still really excited about what BMD has turned out like and can`t wait to experience it next season.
Was there for first time earlier this year (for Springsteen not rugby) but looks like a lot of commercial development has sprung up in the immediate vicinity of the stadium, so may be an indicator of the draw of BMD for future investment into Central Docks

Each to their own of course, but personally I still think the steps look brilliant.

I think we have to look at what we've got, around the Allianz Arena it's no different to being at an average industrial unit:

We've got interesting and high quality materials used, some bits might be not to everyone's taste, but there should be at least something that people look at and go wow. That's more than can be said around Wembley, Twickenham, Principality and other high end stadiums.

I must admit, the steps do irk me (especially the massive angled brick walls that just don’t work with the lines of the stadium itself)… but I recognise I’m just picking at details in an otherwise amazing build.

I've been to the Allianz Arena. It's an amazing stadium, but it really does look like a tyre lying flat on its side. And, yes, there's nothing of interest around it. You just trudge to the train.

Every time I see pictures or videos of these lights in the south stand, I’m struck by how intense and almost blown out the colour is. I can’t work out if it’s messing with camera sensors or not.

Can anyone who has seen it with their actual human retinas confirm if it’s blue or purple in reality?

There are purple and blue lights. The uplights that shine on the inside of the barrel are mostly lit purple. These have also been switched to blue on occasion. We got the full RGB thing going on.

Yeah, I’d heard they were full spectrum lights - but I was just curious whether something about the reflective surfaces there was causing them to look different on camera.
