New Everton Stadium

You're really sure it was the majority, as I honestly can't remember the general feeling on here towards Kirkby?

The majority voted in favour of Kirkby. I joined this forum after it was rejected but know there was a lot of support for Kirkby on other forums at the time of the vote. Hardly surprising, as there were no other options in the ballot literature, and the lies that accompanied it were fairly extensive and convincing. However, within a few weeks the tide had turned and most had realised their error.... but that seed of division had already been sewn. Kenwright's MO throughout. So the arguments and the anti-KEIOC sentiment persisted for a while with some. By the time of the inquiry, it was probably only the pro-Kenwright hardcore left supporting it.

A lot voted for Kirby because they knew we needed to move as redevelopment was no non starter and the longer we took to find a new home the further we were being left behind. We were being sold a bad deal and thankfully it hit a road block. What we ended up with is much better than anything we`d have got in Kirby.

There was (and remains) a resentment toward KEIOC precisely because they were right.

The bigger issue for me is that we have supporters who are generally speaking still willing to see the best of our owners, regardless of what experience has taught them in the past. You see it now in that Freidkin thread: a blank cheque many are handing them - despite the needless mess they've got themselves into at Roma due to their hamfistedness.

It'll end in tears. Guaranteed.

It's only guaranteed in you're eyes, you're not and never have been prepared to give them a chance, alls you offer is a closed mind.
Tell me what was the alternative? Moshiri was leading us to bankruptcy despite the stadium.
Where else was there to go ? We have more chance with these, before you criticise let's see where it takes us, it can't be any worse.

Conflict is baked into football club ownership.

The video advert boards will make a huge difference, I think. They are a key part of a modern stadium aesthetic, and used for branding pre-match.

(And the fans being in there, of course.)
Have to admit I was underwhelmed by it inside. The outside and concourses look superb. Hopefully with a crowd it will look better as I imagine it will be intimidating

100%

The longer this silence goes on, the less credible this group become in terms of doing anything positive for the club.
