New Everton Stadium

Why are club staff getting prime seating?

They hit the jackpot already by having a job there. If you're core staff at a PL club you wont be on zero hours contracts you'll be on a fair few quid.

What constitutes an Everton Staff Member? Surely Billy who is serving the hot dogs isn't getting access to prime seats on the half way line ffs.

It's not the stewards as mentioned by someone earlier, it's the box office and corporate staff - as well as those working at finch farm, so it's took a sizeable chunk out of the waiting list with them getting an additional ticket.

Don't think it's right to have an additional ticket. If they had one previously then they would have had someone else sitting with them anyway

Confused by this.

Do you have to earn a certain amount or be in a certain job to get access in your eyes?
Not at all, im just trying to establish how many tickets were taken out before the people with 23 got a chance. Like someone else said there are probably kopites who work there who now have access to 2 season tickets with no previous purchase history at all.

Exactly fella,my sister is 72 and walks with a stick, had a season ticket 30 odd years, loves going the game but has hated having to stand up in the lower Glwdys.Chose front row seats for this and ease of access, never thought we would struggle for one so early in the process,,,

I wanted the seats I planned for my Dad, he's not far off from having accessibility issues, he's already had a hip replacement. That's why I couldn't simply move back a few rows, as that adds steps, and steep ones too by all accounts, so I moved across through the blocks, but that effects the viewing experience and similarity to what we're used to.

I get that I probably sound like a right entitled bell on here, and sorry for that. I do recognise that I am moaning about a few seats being inaccessible to me when so many are having to wait, and I can imagine that feels stressful enough without me moaning. I have a seat and for that I am grateful. I just got so wound up today because it has been months of pressuring myself to get it right and it ended up being scuppered by something beyond my control.

I'll shut up about it now.. Maybe...

In all honestly just glad we can now sit through a game, bit of extra leg room and easy access end seat, bit removed from behind the goal we wanted to be can live with that...

My Dad wanted a specific seat on the front row of the upper West block 200. He got one about 5 seats away about 10.20 after it was previously unavailable.
I think people were adding loads to there basket and then either not buying or having problems and they were comig back online as available.
He would of had no idea how to do it though only I went round to help them. His blood pressure was through the roof every time he tried to add an available one to his basket only for it to be gone.

I had the seats in basket issue this morning. Had picked our seats, in the basket but when it came to check-out, it started with the staff purchaser issue and wanted me to cancel one seat. I couldn’t then access the original seats, so ended up grabbing the same seats on the row behind. I presumed it would eventually release the original seats after the time expired. Can see why this would drive people around the twist - it nearly did to me!

I mean, there’s tens of thousands of seats available. Not sure a Kopite who works for Everton hypothetically spending £1500+ on a pair of season tickets is a particularly big concern?

Still not sure why you brought the specific occupation into it. If you’re an employee of the club you’re an employee of the club surely, whether you’re selling hot dogs or the Marketing Director.
