New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Building a stadium with significant exposed steelwork next to a river adjacent to open sea and salt water. The choice of materials to prevent this should have been a day one priority. Could be an expensive retro fix for LOR.
It will have been. All exposed elements would have been specified with the marine environment in mind. Sounds like it will be a sub-contractor/ supply chain issue if there is a problem.

Severfield supplied and installed the structural steelwork https://www.severfield.com/projects/everton-football-stadium

They're the largest structural steel contractor in the UK and one of the biggest in Europe. They're no mugs. Could possibly just be down to a problem with the anti-corrosion coating that has been applied rather than poor workmanship.

Looks like Rawlins Paints were involved with supplying the project. They even made reference to the marine environment on this post back in 2022.

At the end of the day it will be resolved, as will any other issues that occur, and the club won't be the ones footing the bill.

I come in from Maghull North ,the last couple of Sunday games they have put on one extra train to Ormskirk which eases the crush . Sandhills is going to be overwhelmed and I don't see any scope for extra trains in the weekday timetable especially into town . Longer trains would help but it will be quicker to walk into town if able to. Or stay for a bevvy if not. .:pint2:
The new trains can be doubled up and from rough measurements on Google maps would just fit on the platform

I can imagine there'll be loads of street parking around the industrial area similar to what it's like at Trafford Park. £6 all day parking etc. It's just working out the best way to getting away without sitting for hours gridlocked.

It's one of them really...we'd all like our preferred tipple on but it's not going to happen

Camden, Guinness and Leffe are decent enough.

What do you usually drink when you go the pub?
I'd drink ale or craft myself but I have nothing against lager, they're just really bad ones! It'd have to be Hells as the least worst option but Stella, Corona and Bud are about as bad as you can get in my opinion.
