It will have been. All exposed elements would have been specified with the marine environment in mind. Sounds like it will be a sub-contractor/ supply chain issue if there is a problem.Building a stadium with significant exposed steelwork next to a river adjacent to open sea and salt water. The choice of materials to prevent this should have been a day one priority. Could be an expensive retro fix for LOR.

They're the largest structural steel contractor in the UK and one of the biggest in Europe. They're no mugs. Could possibly just be down to a problem with the anti-corrosion coating that has been applied rather than poor workmanship.
At the end of the day it will be resolved, as will any other issues that occur, and the club won't be the ones footing the bill.
