New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Haha.

I was sat with two arl fellas at the Leicester game who didn't have smartphones and, obviously, want a card for the new stadium.

They're requesting cards as a result but can't remember the exact criteria they said. It was definitely a certain age range and something else.
It's not just an age thing . Being an arl fella meself I use my smartphone for everything . I have neighbours in their late 80's who live on their phones . But some people refuse to move with the times . Having said all that I still think there should be plastic cards for anyone who wants them ,irrespective of age.

I think it should be up to the clubs to decide what way they want to issue tickets for games. The clubs are more in touch with what format their fans would prefer to have to gain access to games. I still prefer to have a physical ticket in my hand, whether a paper ticket or card, when I go to a game. Digital ticketing sounds great until your phone packs in and you can`t get access to the ticket. I`ve gone to matches for years and when you had a paper ticket or season card all you had to do is not lose it before getting to the gate.
The switch to using plastic cards was probably more of an attempt to stop ticket touting, as it made it harder to sell your season ticket for individual games as you couldn`t hand you card to anybody as you`d need to get it back for the next game. But folks have found ways around this, so I think going digital is more a way to clamp down on folks selling tickets themselves for a bit of a premium.
Is'nt that the same thing, both touting? I never have and never will sell my s/t, or any other tkt, above face value. Btw, I prefer a season card to digital, my op was only stating what I heard from the club.

The more I think about it the more angry I get. These cheeky knobheads are charging around 750 to 800 for a season ticket but they refuse to provide a bloody card that would make a sizable chunk of the fanbase more comfortable. I don't give a crap what the PL say, the club has an obligation to the fans (aka their actual coustmers!) to provide this and they're an utter 'kin disgrace if they don't.

It`s the same, they thought they would clamp down by issuing folks cards, but folks found a way around it so going digital makes it harder to sell on without going through an official club sell on system. As I only get to an odd game now I would prefer the good old fashioned paper ticket myself. The big chiefs in the PL coming up with these ideas should just stick to rigging the results and let poor sods like me have my paper ticket and enjoy the match in peace.

I hope not.
They look dreadful and distracting to the eye.

Spurs have a NFL stadium so it suits them.

I think it looks great, personally.

Whenever I've noticed the higher boards at Spurs (and City, I think?) - they've had club-related stuff on, as opposed to the advertising on the pitch-side boards.

I'm all for digital club banners halfway up.

R.e. the card stuff... I've not tried this at a turnstile, or even written to a card (because I don't have one), but I just read my match ticket on my iPhone with my wife's iPhone using a free app called NFC Tools.

You can, according to the app, then write that data to an NFC card - which you can pick up for pennies.

Worth someone trying... it's very straightforward if it works and will save a lot of angst.

App is here for iOS and Android:

Same. I wouldn't mind screens outside the ground also, I think it would look smart. More adertisment, the better for us

Especially if they display the bullens style crisscross iron work on the sides with the street end style on the north stand
