New Everton Stadium

Just thinking again about the Lucas Oil Stadium. Maybe this type of build (ie brick) would be preferred because it's completely different from the Echo Arena. Would the city want two similar looking stadiums on the skyline?

The zenit stadium is impressive but a bit samey for me . There's already plenty of grounds that resemble spaceships. Plus hate oval /bowl grounds real atmosphere killers for me.

Only Everton fans would turn their noses up at a stadium that looks like this.

That's a strange look for a football stadium.

It looks like a dark satanic mill. Too austere.

There's been a lot of discussion about Moshiri's ability to fund a brand new dockside world class iconic stadium.

I've indicated before that BHH has the potential to raise perhaps £400 million should that be the funding vehicle, however I'll throw another option into the melting pot.

It's not inconceivable that the stadium may not be owned by Everton Football Club. It could be that a seperate entity with different shareholders to Everton (but including Moshiri) could fund the stadium and associated developments with Everton being the anchor tennant.

I'm not saying this will be the case, just putting it out there as an alternative model (similar to West Ham albeit with private funders not taxpayers as is the case with their stadium).
Not keen on that from a contract law perspective. Any tenancy we would take would have either an end date or a review date. Of course these dates could be 99 years into the future etc but I'd hate to think we'd again be passing our home onto the dark side. This stadium has to be what we leave for generations of Evertonians behind us, it needs to be water tight. Dock puns now fully expected.

We'd be on to the next stadium after 99 years

The only viable company for that scenario would be USM holdings , and whose the primary shareholder in that company?
