New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Probably will be from now on because of one clown
That's not a bad thing, although obviously the theft last night was. Like every club, we have a very small minority of scumbag fans that wouldn't think twice about stealing and probably feel entitled to free food and drink on account of having a ticket.

Thankfully 99% of our fans are absolutely brilliant hence why we're seeing so many of them fuming at this guy's behaviour last night.

Anyway that's what these events are all about, to iron out the creases and get things ready for next season.

Yeah agreed. I have a lot of criticism of him but the stadium superb. Can’t wait to go to the second event.

Somebody was saying there was reds in there?

Get a grip

Watching the videos it's clear Mr Drone was gifted 4 tickets which he then gave to a few of the guys he knows who operate drones. 2 of them are reds.

I don't mind so much that they are reds, both at various times have spent time taking videos for us to enjoy and have or will release videos of the test event and help give an unbiased view on the place. My grudge is the fact some season ticket holders who were given the historic opportunity to go, put their name down in the ballot and then didn't bother turning up at all. I do understand that people do have reasons for not going some times, but they blocked other blues from attending who would have walked over hot coals to do so. You think one ticket, fair enough, how someone managed to get 4 in the first place to just not bother, is mind boggling.

Ah cool was wondering would they stay serving food etc for the rest event as it seems they want to try keep fans eating and drinking in the stadium for an hour or 2 after games when it's fully open
I don't think that is happening after a night match, maybe on a warm evening when there is a 5.30 match to watch on tv. Standing only with few places to put food/drink down

I'd imagine that they have to have room for if a manager chooses to widen the pitch. You have a choice between a width of 70 yards to 80 yards I think. Some managers prefer a tighter pitch and others a wider pitch
Don't think that's a thing anymore mate. Unless your stadium can't physically accommodate it, there's now a standard universal pitch size.

Anfield is too small to physically fit that size pitch, and this precludes it from hosting any UEFA games like A Europa League final or the European Championships (one of the reasons we got the nod).

Park right outside the ground, its a £70 fine but if you pay it in 14 days its only £35 :)

if you search on parkopedia there are a few places, Titanic Hotel, Blackstone street and on waterloo road

Was at Wembley in 89 - three car loads of us. Parking was a nightmare, so did a deal with the local friendly Plod to park in the yard where cars were lifted and towed to. A lot cheaper - I'm sure it gave them a good night out. (There's other stories around that weekend but I'd probably be arrested - I've blotted it out of my mind. Thankfully was there 6 years later to see us win).

I know mate but they don't actually own Toyota, so struggling to see how they could get them to get naming rights.
They're their representatives in Middle East - and as someone who lived there for nearly 10 years, Toyota are massive. So TFG will have some sway and they will talk about marketing opportunities. (I don't think it will happen though personally).

Fun fact - during the various skirmishes in the Middle East for the last 20 years, the Taliban's favourite vehicle was a Toyota pick up. Easy to mount a large machine gun on the back. The older models were incredibly reliable, and if they did break down, you could fix it with an AK47 slung over your back no problem. These days you need a laptop.

I've been lucky enough to have visited both grounds and your assessment is fair. The concourses at Spurs really are the gold standard for stadium concourses - it's practically a miniature market in the South Stand at Tottenham.
I'm pretty sure from the outset of our build it was stated that the finishing would be "mid-range" not top end. Spurs did go balls out with theirs. They have a local brewery set up an outlet there - and they sell an incredible amount of ale each game. Probably double when we are there.

Reading lots of comments about the stadium it seems they have nailed it, it does look magnificent mind you.
Transport looks like it will be a concern though, hopefully the club with pressure the city council and get it improved.

Test events are there to identify these issues and then resolve them. Hopefully they do that
They're also a requirement to get the final licenses etc. From reading the posts it seems the main issues are external to the stadium complex - i.e. transport. Amazed no-one on this esteemed forum picked up on it....
