New Everton Stadium

I was at a meeting today about one of the stadiums for Qatar 2022. It's been costed at 385m dollars. It will be used for 8 games and then torn down.

Maybe Mosh will move us about to a new stadium every season.
Aren't they planning on building quite a few stadiums, taking them apart after the World Cup and then moving them somewhere else? Seem to remember reading that at the time of them winning the bid.

Ah ok. Sounded ridiculous at the time but so did most of the bid.

Also, as rubbish as it will be having a World Cup there the stadiums do look pretty incredible.

Those images are from 6 years ago though so they may well have changed designs since then...
Some amazing looking stadiums, will they look like that come the World Cup, who knows.

Just hope the new Everton stadium will be looking as good.

Most of those designs have changed, or the venues scrapped. They are going to go ahead with 8 stadia, which is the FIFA minimum requirement. Some will be incredible. Others will be much less so as the govt has been hit by the oil prices.

I'd wager less people will die building it.

Most of the people who died in these projects were while working on the infrastructure as that's locally led projects. The stadiums etc, with British, American, generally more globally aware companies run them to a much higher standard. It's not perfect but it's definately improving.

The stadiums over there are absolutely incredible. The Lusail stadium had the capability to cool the pitch temperature to 50% of the outside air temperature, With similar in the stands. With a very small carbon footprint in comparison.
