Most of the people who died in these projects were while working on the infrastructure as that's locally led projects. The stadiums etc, with British, American, generally more globally aware companies run them to a much higher standard. It's not perfect but it's definately improving.
The stadiums over there are absolutely incredible. The Lusail stadium had the capability to cool the pitch temperature to 50% of the outside air temperature, With similar in the stands. With a very small carbon footprint in comparison.
Which is still totally unacceptable. This is a far bigger scandal than a few bribes that Blatter took.
Nobody in football really cares though. 20 men in a tiny room in 45 degree week forced to work 18 hour days for about £10 a week. Passports taken off them, denied basic human rights.
