New Everton Stadium

Most of the people who died in these projects were while working on the infrastructure as that's locally led projects. The stadiums etc, with British, American, generally more globally aware companies run them to a much higher standard. It's not perfect but it's definately improving.

The stadiums over there are absolutely incredible. The Lusail stadium had the capability to cool the pitch temperature to 50% of the outside air temperature, With similar in the stands. With a very small carbon footprint in comparison.

Which is still totally unacceptable. This is a far bigger scandal than a few bribes that Blatter took.

Nobody in football really cares though. 20 men in a tiny room in 45 degree week forced to work 18 hour days for about £10 a week. Passports taken off them, denied basic human rights.

That's not my point, as a single death in any country is unacceptable. My point is that many are saying the world cup stadiums being built there are causing thousands of deaths, which while ultimately true, doesn't account to for the fact that he practices being forced upon the construction culture there by the multinational construction companies involved will in the long run much improve working conditions for all projects in the region going forward. While much more difficult to quantify, the effect has already been huge.

So is tomorrow the big reveal for something Stadium related? They'll have a new member of staff as special guest for the big announcement. I hear they're at the Hilton preparing.......
