New Everton Stadium

SPURSSTADIUM1.jpg

One thing I want in the new stadium is a massive home end, with no boxes halfway up to ruin the atmosphere, like Spurs are planning above.
BUT make it the biggest capacity in the country, imagine the fume from certain residents of a particular stand at our former ground.

That looks like Spurs are putting in a massive corporate band of seats like the Emirates. They should make sure that the T.V cameras aren't facing them, as it looks bad with all them empty seats way into the 2nd half of games.

My concern is that after a very low net spend the window shuts with an announcement that the club are looking to move to a stadium at the docks - without any evidence that the groundwork is done and in place for it.

I'd smell a huge rat and wonder if things really have changed that much.

See my reply to your post on the Moshiri thread!

I have no idea whether or not any announcements will be made today, but I would be sceptical, as it's normally the standard pre-match press conference today, so focus will be on the game. IMO.

Some said that it will be announced around transfer deadline day

Yes, but someone also said that it was to be announced today. Truth is, it will be announced when its announced. Not going to change anything. really. My guess would be that nothing will be announced for a good few weeks yet, as with any land purchase, certainly of this size there is a period of due diligence. How long that period is can vary, but I think that today would be a little too early. Could be wrong though, clearly.

Absolutely pal, exciting times. It will be happy day when it will be announced :)
I hope it will be out in few weeks

Buying shares is not investing. I don't invest in Apple if I buy their shares. Behave. If you are going to use the term wrongly in a misleading way then don't complain if someone corrects you.

There's absolutely no evidence he has spent any money on the stadium and in fact evidence to suggest he hasn't. Simply because if he had then the share ownership would need to change again. What people now are suggesting is that another company will build the stadium and Everton will lease it.

What evidence do you have for this mate?

If the intention is to make a real statement and the plans are as good as some have made out then they should announce it the same day as Liverpool's Main Stand is formally opened. To be fair, we've never worked that way though and I reckon it will be announced in time of next club AGM. November?

Spurs fan here in peace. Been following this thread just because I have a general interest in stadium design and am looking forward to seeing what Everton comes up with when the club finally announces their plans.

The image quoted above is from the old plans for our stadium which received planning permission all the way back in 2008. The single tier stand in the old plans had a capacity of around 9k. The single tier stand in the new plan - revealed in 2015 - has a capacity of 17k (and this may go up should the law on safe standing change). Full details of our plans here - http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/new-scheme/

As far as corporates go, they will be restricted to the East and West stands with the South stand single tier and the North stand all GA.

So the picture you actually wanted was this one:
