New Everton Stadium

After the shambles of the transfer window, I think I'll be taking a decent sized pinch of salt with any more rumours of dockside stadiums, world class / iconic designs, football quarters, etc. No offence intended to any individuals as I'm sure they act in good faith based upon information they are given but the ITK's who have peddled many of the transfer rumours that didn't come off are the same ITK's behind the stadium gossip.

I'm going to start judging the new regime on what they actually do, not some pipe dream of massive transfer budgets and fantastic stadiums. Let's be honest here, the Stones fee has covered the incomings and the TV money will pay for the Martinez / Koeman switch and bit of scabby cladding. For the time being at least, Everton FC's own finances are currently funding Everton FC, not necessarily money pumped in by Moshiri as people are suggesting. This might change in the future certainly if and when he ups his stake in the club, and I'm sure Koeman didn't come to Everton to tread water, but for now we need to stick to the facts.

....I think this is a reasonable stance. If, like me, you are still positive about the take over you will still need assurances that additional investment is there. Assurances that we no longer have a hand to mouth existence can only be via actions and not words.

If the 'hypothetical' war chest of 100 million exists & is untouched...then I can't wait for the next transfer period. Should we start a new thread???

:p

Exactly, I'm not in the doom and gloom camp, but after being caught up on the crest of a wave that has gained momentum on the back of hearsay and speculation, I think the transfer window has brought us down to earth with a bump. Maybe it's what was needed and will temper everyone's expectations a little bit. That way, we'll be less disappointed when we end up in a shed in Stonebridge Cross

Only joking obviously, Moshiri will build us a castle on the Mersey ;-)

Hopefully that is just a placeholder and not the finished design

I'd rather stay in goodison than have a corporate mess of a stadium like Emirates.

Atmosphere wins games, we should really try push for standing section, if we are after a new stadium. People would be fighting to get a ticket and it would be bouncing.
