New Everton Stadium

It's not meant to be like the way it was that is the point, It's something totally different. Its safer than standing in seated areas for a start, and we are talking about a small section of one stand in all likelihood. If you don't like it then you could sit in the other 90% of the stadium.
All I said was I don't see the point. You can't tell me it's not meant to try and replicate what used to be and as it won't then what's the point.... I will sit btw, all that swaying up and down terraces as well crunching the Crown Jewels against a barrier end post is not for me anymore.

It's not even trying to replicate terraces, in simple terms it's a seat with a rail to lean on about hip height when standing. You still have a reserved area/seat that's ticketed.

No swaying, no terraces and no crunching against barriers. Your view of rail seating is completely wrong like so many others.

No Joey I know what they are, just don't understand what is trying to be achieved

Strange that you talk about scenarios that you know would never happen then.

It's safer than people standing in seating areas for a start. It also means the people who want to stand do so in an area where it is managed and doesn't ruin the view of those sitting.

That's before you even get into the atmospheric benefits.

No objection to it, but don't give me atmospheric benefits, it will look like a stand at Rochdale or something

Ok so you've really no idea what it's like then if you think it would look like Spotlands, yet another reference to old terraces that is simply miles wide of the mark.

It of course has atmospheric benefits and if you deny that then you're just being deliberately awkward.

Rather than building a waterfront stadium to rival Spurs' state-of-the-art 61,000 all-seater, I can see the board erecting a replica of the Riverside Stadium at Stonebridge. Supporting Everton has turned me into an eternal pessimist!

Seen the standing singing section work in other countries where mostly young ones waved flags and organised the singing. It was pretty good tbh. Although in the snooty prem you'd get called try hards.
