New Everton Stadium

As much as I like Andy Hunter of the Guardian he is behind the curve on this one.
Jeez mate your confidence must be made of the stuff that would survive nuclear wars. you've called more stuff wrong this year than Michael Fish, but you bowl along caring not one jot, this time a guy who is well thought of and a full time journo is 'behind the curve'.
Fair play like, but I hope people take your forthrightness with a few pinches of salt

Mate I keep asking and the same person who told me tells me the same thing, the docks is close and purchase was made, when the club announce it is upto them, despise the crap esk gets here he has heard the same as have others, papers are well behind and Andy hunter is basically peddling the article from the echo weeks back re land valuation
if there is an agreement to buy land for £30m I can promise you that that agreement would have been registered at the Land Registry (assuming the land is registered), and if there is no registration we can be very confident there is no legally binding agreement yet.

Oh I agree with you and have been told by a few the land has been purchased.
I am trying to understand what benefit those that be at the club have in not announcing it to a fan base desperate to hear something positive.
Considering the Kirkby proposal got called in and subsequently scrapped, it's completely pointless announcing a land purchase without having planning permission granted. Fans need to know it's all systems go.

After deadline day I feel like we need this to give us our faith back. All will be forgiven and then some if they deliver a dockside stadium...sod a marquee signing, this would be a sign of intent.

TBH, I don't know why anyone shares information on here. It just attracts abuse.

You can provide photographic evidence, as I have done & that's still not good enough for some.

it's not just sharing of info though. He's added his own spin to the info he's been privy to. I think we might all do this at first in the same situation, but he's been too confident about things and they've not come to pass.

With respect mate, your wrong. Be as confident as you want, but your wrong.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if we found out the club have asked Mayor Joe to wind back his constant talk and hints about the site. Especially as the club felt the need to issue a denial about having bought the land last week. Doesn't do anyone any favours if we're lead to believe a dockside stadium is happening and then it falls through.
