New Everton Stadium

I really need to understand what people are looking for when they say they are underwhelmed by the inside.

Its empty and doesn't even have a pitch yet - What would make it better at this point exactly?

The simple fact is that it cannot be judged accurately until we're sat in it at a game,

Now, it might be terrible at that point too - and if so, then judge it accordingly at that time,

But judging it now is akin to rating the quality of a roast chicken dinner when the chicken is still clucking on the farm
imagine buying a mansion and then you move in and its empty and you go "bit naff this place aint it"

I think the interior of the stadium is a little unremarkable, to be honest, but - and this is the important bit - it feels absolutely claustrophobic from those pitch shots. That's exactly what we want: a breathless experience for the opposition.
Did you want a bit of this?

There were never boxes planned there... the north stand tiers overlap due to literally running out of space and not being able to build any further back, as it goes right up to the site border. That's also why it's that funny shape, as if they added any more rows it would breach United Utiliy's land.
I get that but why no boxes? Also I could see air rights being negotiated in the future

do you mean to extend the north stand over UU land?
Would be nice but I can’t see it myself unless the roof has been designed specifically to be modular enough to allow for that.
Otherwise I expect the cost / revenue case will make it unpalatable
Yeah, that's probably my thinking too
I just cant figure out why they didnt put boxes along the north stand.
If you look at the away section of the north stand (last block on the right before the angle), the seats extend right to the top of the lower tier so it's not like it was structurally impossible to do this in the home section (rest of the north) due to site restricitons.
There has to be the possibility of adding boxes at a later date, otherwise why build it like this?

I just wonder if there was enough space to actually fit the corporate boxes or if its really tight in that upper tier in the concourse mate.
