If that's particular person was in fact "in the know", he would know who the club have lined up to replace Elstone already....Maybe - but this particular person is actually 'in the know'

Given he's in the know, why didn't you ask him?Maybe - but this particular person is actually 'in the know'

Unless we're getting the finances from the United British Bank of Solariums, then why is Suntan Bob so critical?
Maybe the question is, "who is the patsy that will take the blame when the stadium starts sinking into the poorly drained dock and it all falls apart due to the substandard grade materials?"If the answer is Bob Elstone and the question is not 'who has done the bare minimum for the entire time he has been CEO?' or 'who talks a good game but then doesn't deliver?' then I shudder to think.
I’m bored of this debacle now. Only Everton could drag a stadium on for so long to the point were even their own supporters start to become not arsed.
At least we'll have a design to look at, a capacity, something to say that this will be going ahead. Can you imagine how riveting it will get if plans get released, and we start obsessing about sub paragraphs in planning and construction regulations? Because that's the next stage. We'll be looking back at this as the good ol' days of the new stadium thread.
Groan.
Had an interesting conversation today with a colleague - Long and short of it was that Elstone has essentially gone (No surprises there) - but he was insinuating that his leaving has massive repercussions in regards to the stadium going ahead
Any ideas why this would be the case?

Elstone has been heavily involved in the Stadium side of things for as long as BMD has been an option. Him leaving will have inevitable consequences in terms of the hard work that has already gone in to it, the strong contacts that will have been made between the club and other organisations involved, and most importantly the knowledge he has gained from being heavily involved.
None of that is enough for a whole Stadium Project to fail just through him leaving though and it seems like a quite ridiculous assertion to me. If Robert Elstone leaving the club caused the collapse of this Stadium proposal with so many people invested in it, and the huge impact it will have on things outside of Everton FC then we may as well give up as a Football Club.
Moshiri didn't get to the position he is in now, with billions at the back of him from letting minor changes (in the overall scheme of things) like this ruin his ambitions.
