I hail from the region called Salt Lake City, Utah, Unites States of America.

I found this forum from a LA Galaxy forum which was following the Everton/Manchester City match. They were talking about a Everton fan site that had dedicated a thread to Landon Donovan called Sir Landon of Donovan. I got a kick out of it, and think it's a great new nickname for him.

I haven't always been a kick ball fan, but I've followed the US men's team since the '94 World Cup. Anytime I found them on the TV I'd watch them. Once Salt Lake got it's club in 2005 i vowed to start following them. Well it took 3 years but finally in 2008 I started to follow them. Watching them the last 2 years has given me a new passion in sports. It's such a fantastic sport and i can't get enough of it now.

I've waited a while to claim a European team as my own but I finally found Everton. As lame as it might sound I have FIFA10 to thank for some of my support. Playing in manager mode I kicked so much butt in MLS that all the big clubs like City,United and Arsenal came calling. Everton happen to be one of those teams. I knew Timmy played for you guys so I took the job. Started playing and I got familiar with the team and their names. Since then I tried to catch them on TV when ever possible. When the news broke that Everton was after Sir Landon of Donovan it became a no brainer. It helps that Everton is more USA friendly and sounds like a very class club. I'm a hater of big clubs that think they can buy championships, ( NY Yankees, LA Lakers, Man Utd etc etc) Everton feels more like a small club team even though they hail from Liverpool. All those factors led me to become an Everton supporter.

If I had to pick a favorite player it would have to be Fellaini. I first saw him in Salt Lake at the MLS All-Star game. He was all over the field and gave my man, Kyle Beckerman fits all day. He always seemed to be in the action and rarely lost a ball in the air. He's a badass bully without being dirty. He's my kind of player. He reminds me of a John Stockton (NBA) type of player. Works hard and tries to get the job done no matter how bad or good he is playing.

If Sir Landon of Donovan ends up joining Everton full time, I have no doubt he'd compete for my favorite player vote.

Pineapple BELONGS on pizza. Don't forget the ham though.

ShaggyReAL, a new Everton supporter signing out....

EDIT: Can we please get Jozy out of Hull City. He is young and needs work but they have few players that can even get him the ball.

Welcome. Fantastic first post. Laughing at 'kick ball' though (y) and strongly disagree with pineapple on pizza.

I didn't want to get kick off this board my first day so I thought kick ball was less offensive than soccer.

Pineapple has to be better than putting kangaroo on pizza. (y)

Welcome to GOT.

Did you go to the RSL vs. Everton match a few years back?

I did. It was Rice Eccles stadium before you had your shiny new park.

Congrats on the MLS Cup but don't get too used to the silverware as the Dynamo are gonna want it back.

I wasn't quite into RSL yet, so nope I missed it.

Rice -Eccles is a nice football stadium but not for soccer. The new Riot into Stadium is a nice venue though.

And I'm not worried about Dynamo this up coming season. Holden will be gone and Brian Ching is still on your team. :)) The only thing I like about the Dynamo is the uni's.

Don't forget that we've lost Rico Clark as well.

I'll be happy if we make the playoffs. Hard to do when your best attacking midfielder (Holden) and best defensive midfielder (Clark) aren't returning.

You're right, I spaced that Rico was going to Europe as well. Any news on were he is going? And is Holden going to sign with Bolton?
