Well zippity doo dah, good effort but does it look as good as Kirkby? No, it looks grey, drab, boring, backward, unspectacular, empty, sullen........

You have to paint the picture, give it some character, bring it to life, they commissioned someone to develop that? Who? the same [Poor language removed] goon who created there shockingly [Poor language removed] pampflet.

God damn, we just don't understand do we.

Where as Liverpool are showcasing designs that are far and beyond the realms of the Barret home architects, ours was copied from some kids mecano creation.

i was laughing at the above and chortled some more at the 'goon' comment, then i had a quick look at the pics.

i actually quite like it, its grey because theres no seats.
it appears to have two tiers all around - which is great... !
the crazy white lines that cut into the pitch are actually the roof lines, they just havnt been filled in/coloured so as to be able to see the actual body of the stadium.
i really rather like that design.

to be honest, i could cope with the dickensian pissers, i could cope with the atrocious service and warm beer. what i cannot and will-not stand is obstructed views.

give me any stadia with zero restricted views and i will have to say its better than goodison.

Well it looks half assed, it looks rushed, it looks poor - KP doesn't look poor, it looks the business, like some time and effort has been put into it.

Do you see what I am getting at.

One one side we have serious developers, and on the other we have the big shouting men who really seem to be out of their depth.

well, on one side we have a multi million pound business financing the project/plans/drawings - and then theres the other side who have financed what they could with no business backing.

if it was deliverable, then i'd be all for it.

lets see if they can find the finance for their plans.

It's like the people who have nephews that can do their web programming for twenty quid in the hand.

Well Suits you have answered your own question really. If they can't afford a decent architect, how the [Poor language removed] can they afford to build a stadium?

Thing is, with those pics are, they could be any number of stadiums out there. It is just a quick concept put together with no real thought to how to do it. They talk about heritage and then present this cookie cutter stadium??? Bollocks to that.

At least with Kirkby, they actually have a plan that will work, vice spouting a bunch of crap just to try and sway the vote.

Kirkby for me (not that it matters, I have no vote)!!!

So are you saying they took pics of Goodison and touched them up??? Even worse!!!! If they are going to try to do something, stop giving it this half-arsed attempt! If Everton tried this with the Kirkby project, KEIOC would have ripped into them!

LAZY!

And just who is going to pony up the cheddar for this stadium? It's never been all that much about location or design, sure they're big factors but... what is it going to cost? ...and who will pay?

Yeah, well Goodison is a cheap [Poor language removed] nightmare too. The reason why we have been left standing still while all those around move forward is precisely what KEIOC are about. Doing things on the cheap, pissing and moaning without having a valid reason.

Sky came and is massively established now, and we have had no benefit. Our ground is [Poor language removed], and I'm sorry but if [Poor language removed] is. History, what history? mid 80's late 60's and Dixie - other than that its been pretty mediocre, and the less said about the 90's the better eh?

Wyness is trying to drag this club forward, and I'm sure if he believed that financially we could stay at Goodison he world, BK would, for that I have no doubt.

If The Loop becomes an option that is financially acceptable to the club we would go there too.

But KEIOC are offering nothing, if they can find something that is financially better than the deal we are getting then fine, but they won't - because it doesn't exist.

I don't want to go to Kirkby, but I don't want to end up in a [Poor language removed] stadium that isn't going to generate anything.

I think you should watch yourself there Ghost, our History has been a great one. We have the most wins in the top flight, have rank around 5th for most titles won, got the FA Cup 5 times longest serving in the top flight, longest consecutive run in the top flight. Just because we didn't win 100 titles doesn't diminish our history one iota.
