New size Coke bottles

Player Valuation: £5m
Wife told me the other day that Coke are changing the size of their bottles from 2Ltr to 1.75Ltr.
Now as that she mainly drinks diet coke as I do if not on the beer got me wondering why the change in size?
Is it a ploy to increase their profits? as they will be selling less for no doubt the same price as I bet there will not be a reduction in the cost of their product in line with the size of the bottle.
They would not be the first or the last company to go down the route of re sizing products for financial gain, just look what has happened to the size of chocolate bars and crisp packets over the years to name a few items and whenever you buy a half case of beer or cider now you only get 10 cans, where as I always thought a case was 24 cans not 20!!
You can bet your last £ it's not being done for the health of the nation that's for sure!!

Must admit that I never pay full price for it as it is usually on offer somewhere.
But where as you use to get 4ltr for £2 you are only getting 3.5 ltr for the same money. My local Nisa has it on offer at the moment till Mid April at £1.79 for 1 or £2 for 2 so it's a no brainer really especially when you phone them up and ask them to reserve 12 bottles at a time for you.
