I used to be a newspaper junkie, progressing from the Daily Mirror to The Guardian, and then the broadsheet Independent.

Now occasionally get the i on a Saturday.

Still miss the Liverpool Daily Post , good on the Blues coverage.

Sad, but newspapers will be gone in a few years.

Last bought a paper in 1987 while isolated alone and bored in a 6 week mapping exercise. Couldn't believe the absolute tripe in it. From what I've seen since they've done the exact opposite of improve.

Used to get a Daily Mirror everyday, then it became just every Sunday so I could read it with my fry-up (pretty much a ritual) but I've not bought one in about 8/9 years I reckon.

If I see anyone with a paper in the street nowadays especially if it's rolled up I just assume they're undercover and leave the immediate vicinity.

Yea like going into a shop and carrying out a paper.
Not for a very long time. Closest is browsing the local paper in the café round the corner.

Recall the last time I brought paper I was on holiday and the phone signal was crap. Wanted something to read. Felt like such an indulgence taking up loads of room with my broadsheet.

Was great. Proper "Sniff it you lowbrow and lost looking tiktok fiends" for a day.

Not necessarily.

Think both the Mail and the S** have been run at a massive loss over the past decade just as a means of connecting with a certain demographic.

Me and a few mates had a routine re attempting the Gruniad crossword, in The Salutation, after the match.

We had a good team then as well.
