Maybe he will take us into the championship so he can get us out and into Europe - cant see us attracting Simeone or Silva from Englands second tier of football.

There is one record that he's justifiably proud of and never having been relegated considering some of the basket case clubs he's been in charge of is genuinely impressive.

He took over Bolton and West Ham while they were below the first tier, got them promoted and comfortably kept them there, venturing into Europe with Bolton Wanderers.

He has some perhaps extremely justifiable criticism about his style methods and especially his seemingly avaricious character and maybe would be the last person I'd normally want here at the club.

Now I think needs must and he's easily the best unattached and immediately available candidate, and although there are never any guarantees, he offers us by a long, long way our best chance of avoiding the second tier you mention.

Even in our current state we are a much bigger attraction than Watford.

You know this. Stop talking nonsense. I know you're still petrified about losing Silva - and with good cause.
Dave you know feck all about our owner, his ambitions and his transformation of WFC. Your 7th place in the natural order is looking fragile mate and believe me he won't stop there.

I know he's a business man in the business of making cash from whatever activity. Dont try and make owners out to be principled mate. They are ALL shysters. Ours included.

I just dont get why some people on here are talking up Allardyce to even the level of "he would get the job done". His record is terrible. His only claim to any level of fame is he took a bunch of bad sides and made them 3 points better, maybe. Not even any more than that. I mean who many managers who are currently unemployed could average better than the 35% win percentage he has? Thats a really special level of terrible.

You need to compare like with like, win percentages at City should be higher than 35%, win percentages at Aston Villa the year they went down or Sunderland last seaaon or a whole myriad of clubs in and around the relegation zone most years won't match City's.

As I said, you know feck all ... He only has one business and that is football, it's in his blood.

hopefully this is one last stunt to flush out the man they wanted, we've been in this position with fat sam a few weeks ago and the odds were at like 1/20

so until you see him at goodison with a scarf and a cup of Bovril, don't panic to much

In the next 5 days, we play crisis hit West Ham and the mighty Huddersfield Town at Goodison.
6 points a must.

We currently go into these winnable games with Unsworth in charge and completely out of ideas.
A spanking at Anfield next and then the Xmas rush.

Negligence from the board is the only way to describe this now.

We would be blessed with four points in my opinion mate, Huddersfield are a very competent outfit and Wagner is actually a very good manager. We are usually WHU's bogey club.
