I suspect the reality of this is the person the Board most want is either not available or not interested. It leaves Unsworth and Allardyce and they reason Unsworth is the better option.

I don't know if he should be given it just for winning once even tho the fixtures weren't easy. He could be well out of his depth for sure,

Managing a youth team in a youth league is a completely different ball game.
Don’t hold on to the u23s as a reason to make him the first team manager.

There is substance in that and hardly a recommendation for Unsy mind there are some mitigating factors - injuries.

The starting line up against Watford absolutely stunk of Ronald Koeman, there was no excuse for that given the subs he brought on and how they changed the game.

In your opinion, but it would be impossible to please everyone with a team selection, especially with this squad.

I’m yet to see anyone name a starting 11 for us this season that looks strong.

I haven’t mentioned his youth team coaching . To be honest I don’t think , other than his relationship with some of the youngsters , that it’s massively relevant.

Do you know what other managers in the country are doing well managing the u23’s ? How many of them would you expect to get the job at their respective clubs ? I’ll be honest I’m not sure I could name too many .

How can he be called a spiv when he's seen the going rate for our managers since Moyes.
