If you're counting us beating Boro 2-0 as a 'shoeing', surely us going 1-0 up to losing 3-1 with them hitting the post twice and us having two shots on target all game counts as one?
Boro were never in it against us; City were 20 minutes from a draw and defeat in the tie against us. No comparison.

I think that's part of the problem there Dave, we know anything harder than that and its unlikely we will progress.. Holloway for me, he was a bit more defensive ;)

We can find a way in cups this season. The SF draw was against the best team in the country and they needed a leg up to get a win.

It's still to play for.

A clown that holds our PL points record comfortably.

If we could get another clown to reach that total again it might be worth replacing him...unfortunately Everton would get an actual clown as replacement.

Loyalty. Look that word up...it's right next Lol.
He's the same guy that had us finish in our worst position since 05/06 and is on pace to do worse than that this year with no real signs of improving.

My God. I'd promised myself I'd steer well clear of the internet for a few days.

This is just bloody embarrassing.

We lost a semi final of a cup by the odd goal in seven - away to the champions of England. And that was only thanks to a dodgy decision on their critical second goal.

It's football. It's sport. Sometimes you lose.

To suggest changing a manager at this stage is just laughable. Even hypothetically.

They aren't the champions of England.

You do realise you're talking about a championship team here. I'm all for people doing their best to make out Swansea beating us at home is somehow ok because 'anyone can beat anyone' but honestly Boro are a championship side, I'd expect us to comfortably beat them home and away with ease.

The way they were playing, they were still 'in it'. Was just a matter of time.

Believe me please, I want to hold Martinez in as high regard as you do. The points total was a brilliant achievement but it seems only to have served as a false dawn. We are poor, very poor and he himself has admitted he's too stubborn to adapt.

Well let's see where we are in May.

There's no job vacancy. He's as much under pressure as any manager outside Wenger, Klopp, Ranieri and Pocettino.

No mate, this isn't knee jerk after last night. Last night was the final straw for many after a season and a half of dire football and constant game mis-management.

Its always still to play for until it isn't. Don't think we look like getting a result against anyone who can be bothered to put a player in our half currently.
Its a shame, but it will get better.. tbf.. it can only get better ;) I'm just glad the attacking side of the plan is working or we would be sunk.
Can't understand why he won't utilise a defensive coach, surely he prefers winning games to just scoring in them?

Isn't that the problem though? If we had any desire to improve, he should be under massive pressure right now. Don't know about you, but settling for mid-table mediocrity is unacceptable. We're closer to being relegated than we are to CL which is what Bobby told us he'd get us.

It's down to defence. We know we can do it. We conceded 2 goals in total in three games again Spurs and City in the cup at home and City away.

We can do it. It's there. It just requires consistency.

Too many people knee jerking. It's pitiful.
