its a shame he never got about half a dozen games to see what he could do, but there is a massive rebuilding job needed this summer which a more experienced is needed. but think the man has some top qualities as a manager and a coach. i hope he stays at the club when a new manager is appointed
I'd love for him to stay within the club. Unsworth seems like a great fella and is a great Evertonian, but after back-to-back bottom half finished and a fan base that is disillusioned with the club, I feel we have to make a point of going for a proven winner.

whats peoples opinion of unsworth ???, should he be considered
Unsworth is an Evertonian. He was worked wonders with the young gentlemen football kickers at the club.
I think he should be interviewed, Should be considered just not necessarily offered the job....unless every other manager were linked with decides to go anywhere else.

Cant see that being an issue, he was appointed by the club not the manager. Hes done a fantastic job as has Sheeds, they've both got a affinity with the fan base as well.

....I draw a comparison with Colin Harvey who never quite made the transition from coach to manager. Also, I would be nervous of giving him £100m to spend when he's unproven in the transfer market, although the argument could be made that much of that activity will be in scope of DoF.

Respect the fact he has been interviewed but he's not ready yet.

He's a fantastic U21 coach and has done some fine work with the talented young lads. I did enjoy seeing him on the line against Norwich but again, I think he may need to prove himself elsewhere.

Although I can see him being split between U21 and the first team under a new manager.

He is definitely someone I would consider in the future though.
