Says we have always been a big club and puts down the Soton cry babies
What is good about this article Is finally some one in the media has seen an Everton story and not dismissed it but actually looked at what it means for the club but also the football world.
People may think, Koeman, we should have aimed higher, I can understand, I admittedly liked the idea of Emery but Koeman is still highly regarded as the article demonstrates. He done well with Southampton in two seasons. He had Europe and not the smallest team to manage and not badly paid I am sure.
However as the telegraph point out, we haven't just appointed him it has been the manner in the way we have gone about it. That wasn't Kenwright , he has done well at times getting us good fees for some of the players, but this is new, we haven't seen the likes of this since the 80's and before. It's obvious that it is now getting round that Everton have started to behave like a big team in the way we conducted our pursuit of Koeman. @The Esk said as much in previous posts the telegraph has now put it out there for everyone else to see.
So what are going to be the next bold statements, Monchi or Overmars? Stadium. I admit I never had heard of Moshiri before he was named as the unlikely invester, do I care no, but at last I can have the same feeling about Everton that my dad had about Everton through out his time growing up and into the 80s, I can beleive.
