Apparently, he's more attainable than most think. Sevilla is not rich (negative net spend every year) and getting into UCL is getting harder for them. If they lose to Klopp, they will be in Europa.

Even Swansea and Milan have their eyes on him, why not us? Swansea?!?!?! Milan is just as bad given how bad Serie A is now.

(I'll spam that till we get a manager)
We have more chance of getting Mo.
Emery is future Real/Barca calibre manager

1. José
2. Koeman
3. Pelligrini.

Can see de boer having a crack in Spain rather than here.

Agreed mate, tho' swap Koeman & Pell round.

Were saying in the Rivals thread, a requirement for the next manager job: needs to have demonstrated an ability to beat bigger clubs. So thats De Boer out for a start.

Is everyone who is championing Emery aware of Sevilla's away record this season? They're 19th in the league on away form. I like him, but that is putting a question mark over him for me.

Yeah but Real/Barca aren't going to be approaching him anytime soon, he's vastly underrated. If we really are looking at the best we have to approach this guy, ahead of De Boer and Koeman. If he says no then move on down the list.

That's really harsh and a bit unfair. He wouldn't be my first choice but he won the league four times on the bounce, something no other Ajax manager has done. Steve McLarens has always been a good coach but not a great manager. It's not like McLaren won the Dutch league 4 times on the spin is it.

I don't think winning the Dutch league is a useful indicator of being able to succeed in the Premier League. It's like comparing apples with oranges, the level of competition is much greater, the style of football is much different. I think we will struggle with FDB, he's not what we need at all.

What is it about De Boer?

The Eredivisie is less competitive than The Championship.

Maybe it's Ajax? They're currently ranked 29th in the UEFA club coefficient ratings, which is probably a little generous.

His league record in general is a major concern for me.
How you can have concern over his general league record is bizarre. First two teams he managed both promoted, both to highest league position they've had, negative net spend at Valencia of -£63 million, finished 6,3,3,3. Sevilla negative net spend -£83 million, finished 5,5 & 7.

...I suspect a global search is going on and I wonder if our new boss has not even been mentioned on these pages.
We are as a club pretty decent at hoodwinking the media until the very last minute.Come to that the club are very good at hoodwinking us till the last minute on player signings.Martinez always said to the media re signings 'The fans will be the first to know'
So let's hope all these jarg reports in the media and Skybet etc ..... are exactly that.
