It is the idea that a young manager has a bit of a good run with an unfancied team, and they are all of a sudden the next best thing. The league is littered with them.
Howe might be the real deal, and I have nothing against him. In fact he comes across as a nice bloke. And obviously capable.
But at this juncture in our history, when we have a realistic chance of landing an A List (ish) manager, would rather not blow that on a bloke with 1 season under his belt in a top league.
Understood.
Honestly though, I don't see an A List manager amongst those being realistically touted. Nothing to do with negativity or being a (supposed) koppite.
I could really get behind someone like Howe, as opposed to someone like De Boer who doesn't click any boxes for me.
