Agree but the drop off from Cousins to whoever is starting for Buffalo this week is huge

I'm not sure other than me being a Buffalo fan what that has to do with anything. The Bills didnt have the cap space to offer him a competitive contract and no QB in their right mind would pick Buffalo over Minnesota at this point in time.

Especially Kirk Cousins. He passed up more money offered by the Jets to play with good talent at skill positions around him.

As for the Bills, in their current state, I'd rather they just keep taking a QB in one of the top 3 rounds until they hit on a guy. I didnt want Allen, and I still don't think he's going to pan out. I'd love to be wrong, but teams don't let good QBs walk out the door often. So just keep drafting them.

Teams need to realize that these huge deals are only worth it if that QB can elevate the rest of the team with his ability. My quick count in my head tells me there are maybe 9 guys that have proven they can do that and probably 20 are getting paid like they can. My team is about to get out of the Flacco contract and I'm really hoping we can put together a contender with Jackson while he's on his rookie deal. Having good, cheap QB play is a huge advantage.

Completely agree.

Yup, all those calling Mahomes out here need to just calm down. He's only played in 12 games like. He is the absolute star of the future - him and Goff. The Brady and Manning of the next ten years. He will learn from those mistakes last night.
I thought RG3 was going to be the next big thing a couple of years back..

This is a tough position to flourish in.
Wish Mahomes the best of luck.
What do people think of Trubisky/the Bears? Go far in the playoffs this year/down the line?

It was a 7-6 Premier League score.

As a novelty I suppose it's something to enjoy, but as the norm F that.

It's not the norm. No where near it. The defenses contributed 18 points, and you had two of the best offensive minds loaded with talent at their disposal.

The game produced more TDs in one game than the Bills have all year. If the league was tilted towards offense in such a ridiculous manner everyone would be having 51-54 games.

The game was the first of it's kind. Ever.

I agree. I think the norm may become average teams scoring closer to 30 points per game then the mid 20s number that it is now. But even then games in the 40s for both teams would still be incredibly rare. I also think these types of offenses will be adjusted for by defenses as time goes on. I doubt the NFL gets to a point where it resemble the college teams that are having 50-40 games on a weekly basis.

The bookies clearly thought he was playing tonight looking at the pre game odds.

The Bears look different proposition without him here.
Close, scrappy game though.
