It's the worlds most unlikely play off run mate (which the Manning-less Broncos will probably kibosh this Sunday).

Even Cutler is playing well - which is a sentence nobody has heard in the english language before. Special teams needs to sort itself out and the D needs to make some more big plays but it's all looking good. The coaching is night and day to what we had last year. Injuries to our WRs, to our offensive line and we've still maintained standards. Even starting to get some sack production from Lamar Houston and Willie Young.
A few free agents and a good draft next year ( maybe see what our Kevin White can do) and we can make a run at the play offs. Provided someone knocks Aaron Rodgers head off.

Bear down.

Disappointing loss there. Can't believe we didn't take field goal with 10 minutes left. Hindsight is 20/20 but I was fuming at the time as well. Didn't like the call on the 2 pt conversion either

I liked the call. It was time we scored a TD. If he'd got it there was a good chance we'd go on to win. The game is all about momentum and what with the Broncos running well and our running game totally stuffed (we really missed Forte this week) we needed to get that momentum swinging in our favour.

The 2 pt call was a stinker mind. Sure we managed to run it up the gut for a TD but we'd been stuffed between the tackles all day.

Anyway, Denver have the best D in the league and I'm gladdened by the turnaround this season. The coaching has been very good, rookies have emerged, Kevin White will be like having a new first round draft pick and Fox will work on free agency and sifting through the un-drafted for some gems. Have to remember Cutler didn't have a legitimate top grade WR on the field. Even the losses have been close run things. We are five players or so away from a Super Bowl team. Most of the players have been learning a new system once again. Willie Young and Lamar Houston are only just starting to cause problems working in the 3-4.

I predicted 6-10 at the start of the season. I think we'll do better now.
Show what good coaching does. Jesus, Mel Tucker's D was the worse I've seen in 30 years of watching the bears.

Yeah, 4 yards away against the top defense, I guess you don't know if you'll get another chance. I am just one to always take the points. Especially since we would have had to get a TD and two point conversion or we would have had to score again anyways.

Either way, I agree with everything else you said. The defense of the last two years was just an embarrassment and I am just happy to see us playing good, competitive football. We may only win a couple more games than last year, but the difference the coaching has made has been incredible. Think with a good offseason we will be competing for the playoffs next year.
