We've noticed a continued drop in visitors with adblock enabled on GrandOldTeam.

Thanks a lot, we really appreciate it. GOT will cost £6,800+ to keep online for 2018/19 (August 18-May 19) an so, we need the ad revenue to keep the platform alive - I couldn't afford it otherwise.

We work hard to ensure advertisers don't take the piss (no rollovers, popups, audio sound etc), we place them well and we hope in return, visitors will reward us by disabling adblock to help us out - certainly seems to be working.

So yeah, nice one to all who have disabled adblock :cheers:. I genuinely thought adblock software on mobile would see the end of GOT a few years back, only those disabling adblock keeps us going.
 
No control over my work IT. But when at home view ads in full splendor.

*heads over to IT*, "hey chaps, theres a website that seems to have slipped through your message board/social media block, any chance you can disable adblock on it?" haha

@GrandOldTeam eh mate whilst thinking, is there something about how you classify this site that lets it through? coz my work ban all forums message boards social media etc, but this is the only one that seems to work haha

Hate ads even more than I hate the rs.

Love GOT more though. Worth the inconspicuous ads.

Keep up the good work.
 
I barely notice them to be honest (maybe not what the advertisers want to hear) so if there are many of them, then you are doing an excellent job of keeping them discrete!
