And last game for nigeria i though yobo was the best player on the team...yakubu didnt do much...

the biggest problem nigeria had last amtch was the centre midfield, there was none, hats why i was angry seeing mikel doing an interview basically saying the performance by his team mates wasnt good enough.
 
^^^Spot on assessment, JOBO was solid, Yak was.....[Poor language removed] basically. I hope Mali do them, but I can't see it happening, I can only dream...
 
Half of me wants our guys to return early (ie Nigeria fail) but the other half says go and win it - you deserve it.

If they go out early, they may be down and out of confidence for a while anyway, so maybe better to have a really good cup run and return on a high??

I want them to come back winners. I know we need them, but we can cope. Winning is a habit, a habit I want them to retain.
 
The most boring match ever...still teh same problem with nigeria, so much class, but they dont know what they are doing, san marino could do better than this
 

Nigeria could easily be out of the competition with their next pool match being against Ivory Coast. They need a win to keep their hopes alive.

Can't say it will hurt my feelings to get Yak and Yobo back sooner rather than later.
 
So we all agree we are selfish and ungrateful they let our lads play in the first leg unlike another certain country who I hope get battered still hand on heart I am the same as the rest of you(y)

Actually they already played the Ivory Coast, and lost 1-0 to a Kalou goal. They play Benin next. And it doesn't look good for them at all.

Intersting to note that Yak had a goal disallowed for off-side today.
 
Nigeria HAVE to beat Benin, and by a good amount to overcome their current 3 goal difference between them an Mali (-1 to +1). If Mali secure a draw they go through. If They lose but keep it close then Nigeria have to win big to go through! Hopefully Yobo and Yak are back for Spurs!
