Well they were in the middle of a sell out world tour which included 3 sold out gigs at Wembley stadium (I was at one of them).

I mean where did it all go wrong?

Well yeah, it was a turn of phrase though.... as in, they still had gigs to play.

They were always scheduled to have a break at the end of the tour when rumour had it Noel would release a solo album. But the fact that he's walked now makes it seem 'final'.
