Anyone else think he looks like a lost soul at utd these days...and infact for a good year or so now???

Been replaced as top dog and IMO just doesn't seem to have the same enthusiasm as he once had there.

When's his contract run to?

You do wonder if he's ready for a new challange to reinvent himself or even going back to an old challange he never really took part in long enough?

Thoughts?

was thinking the same before tbh would love him to run his contract down and come back to us would of made enough cash at Utd down the years to take a pay cut and come back on say £75-80k a week.?

He has been at the top for a long time now. It was always going to catch him up in his career.
He isn't a natural athlete with the build of a Giggs...

Still got it in spades like, and I'd have him back like a shot.

Interesting time for him as he's not an automatic pick up front for United now. although obviously he will still start a lot of games. Maybe a move into midfield next season will rejuvenate him. Can see that happening.

2 1/2 years to run on his contract. Stranger things have happened, but I wouldn't hold my breath. It's a big ask to expect him to take a £5 million plus a year pay cut even if he has got more money than he knows what to do with.

Not true.

you need to accept rooney will never be back here when there are teams around the world willing to offer him 200+ a week to play football, he may be past his peak but he is still a big name player around the world

and also need to get over the fact donavon will never be playing here again.

'Adebayor wont go to Spurs'

'Pienaar will go to the highest bidder'

Okay mate. David Beckham went to Galaxy and was only on about $80k per week, could have gotten much more if he'd gone elsewhere. If Lampard goes to LA he also won't be on a wage close to what he gets playing for Chelsea, or what he could get elsewhere.

Older players often make moves for things other than money. If that wasn't true you'd see a lot more players going to Russia than you do.
