Where about are you from?: Kansas, USA
How did you find these forums?: Lots of internet searching for Everton information.
How did you become an Evertonian?: I’m currently in quarantine due to a positive COVID test and I desperately needed a sport to follow. I love American football, but I really wanted something else, something different. Saw some premier league highlights on NBCSN and was hooked. Spent most of the day researching teams and settled on Everton. I’m drawn to the underdogs who have toiled away for years to finally get their shot at glory. After their excellent coaching change and signing, Everton seemed like the right choice. Plus you all seem like nice people and are not nearly as insufferable as Liverpool fans.
Your all-time favourite Everton player?: Like I said, relatively new here, so I’m going to stick with DCL.
Your current favourite player?: DCL

Yes, of course. Particularly paired with pepperoni

Welcome in, look forward to your posts. Not sure about the 'underdogs' comment. Sure, we have had a few lean years but historically, Everton are one of the top teams in the country with a history to be proud of. I accept that I have a bit of an advantage as I started supporting in 1946! lol

Underdogs may have been a bit harsh. The long history was definitely a selling point. I guess the best way to describe why I picked Everton is the name “The People’s Club”. I just liked the welcoming atmosphere and the down to earth quality of the supporters. I didn’t feel like I was just picking the “best” team either.

KC has better food than mid-state, and last time I was in your area I was fortunate to visit Grunauer near the train station. I think I visited it again 2 more times before I left town!

mid state food is pretty horrid. KC has some spots (love grunauer!) but you really have to dig. Unless you’re after BBQ, which we have an abundance of.
