Everytime I watch him he looked quality even on Portsmouth. I don't think that was the right situtation for him, he was the only 22 yr old on a team of 40 somethings. If Beattie was worth 4M I'd snatch him up for say 2.5-3M in a second and you know if he ever got a chance to play for us he'd work harder than anyone else on the squad.

Loved his 1-0 celebration after scoring the week we beat liverpool 1-0 in the FA cup.

I think your right mate. Being an Evertonian he'd play his heart out for us and would be well worth a chance. £3m isnt much these days.
