well i heared that if Everton dont match his price, Preston are not going to presure him out.I think we should wait. Then get him on a free agent, but he will probley be gone by then.

I agree, defo don't want to pay over the odds, if the lad wants to come that much then he will.

All the rumors are building and building now....
 
We have delt with Nudge since his Bury day's (he gets a copy of all the signed prints we do),there is only 1 place the lad wants to be & I wouldn't be at all surprised if another club pulls out shortly - only silly wages (and let's be honest who' d turn them down) will stop him from joining his beloved blues

I agree. I think nugent has been holding out and biding his time till the only offer left on the table is a 5 mill one from us. Maybe the lad has done it as he does not want EFC held to ransom by PNE. Romantic notion I know, but hey, the boy is blue and we are a different species.
 

I have a feeling we've made a promise to pay him higher wages in return for the lower transfer fee.
 
im still unsure about this one i dont think that a player that scores 15 goals in the championship is worth anyware near £7m. and i think £5m would still be a lot myself. ok he has scored for england but i dont think he will be adding to that tally any time soon maybe if he can prove him self in the prem then he will get the chance to add to it and i hope he does. but at the moment he has no prem expirance at all so he could easlily flop or be great so he is a gamble and i wouldnt gamble with £5m-£7m

cahill is a prime example woorth the gamble at £1.5m-£2.5m and i know you will all say "but look at lesscott " but i think that he was a class above the rest of the defenders in the championship when wolves got promotion and would have been bought by a prem team then but they all ran a mile when he got his injury which made him miss the whole season. just hope we can get nugent on the cheap or if moyes does gamble big then the guy turns out to be very special.
 
when was the last time a player (& i'm talking about every club here) came out so blatant about where & why he wanted to go .............. the lad is worth the risk if for no other reason than HE WANTS to play for this club (in his own words ... HIS TEAM ) ,it's not about money etc with him - it's all about a dream that we have all had,let's just hope he fullfills his
 

I just see the blue and ignore it because it takes too much effort to read.
 
I'm not sure about the parents either, force their kids into an English Language school but make zero effort themselves.
