Not sure they will get him - for a start, they dont have £8.5 million unless someone is sold, and secondly he still doesnt play for Argentina (wikipedia state he has appeared twice since 2008) so there will probably be work permit problems*

Banega's as close to Arteta as they come, he's a playmaker.

It'd be a very good signing for them but I can't see them getting him for 8.5 million. And they don't really need to with the sale of David Villa and Silva possibly leaving.
