Off to the Lake District (Kirkby Lonsdale to be exact) for a long weekend

Seen a fair few things I want to see up there, but anyone got any hidden treasures etc which are a must see?

They sell crack in the Beatrix Potter museum. Tell them davek sent you. The shortbread's nice too.

Went a few years ago to Ambleside, Windermere and Keswick. I cant give you any advice on hidden treasures but it is lovely up there which i am sure you know. I guess you will find several things out for yourself. Have a good time mate.

You want to go up Haystacks. Its lovely

There are two tarns called Innominate Tarn and Blackbeck Tarn. Waintwrights ashes were scatted there.

Striding Edge is the one to do mate....best ridgewalk in the lakes Other than that you could try a game of crib at the sheep inn at Cartmel...
