NIce to see a Black manager in the prem. Unfortunately it doesn't make him less of a red, wife beating ****. But for today, I'm pleased for him.

I thought he was the first, but then remembered Jean Tigana and Ruud Gullit.

Ince is the first English Black manager though?

On one hand I'd like him to do well because he played for Inter and so isn't as insular as many English players/coaches, but then I thought that about David Platt too.

About Paul Ince:

"It is a very tight timeline, a very disciplined timeline and the fact it is now embodied into his contract of employment is testimony to how serious he takes it.

"He realises the significance and importance of having the qualifications. He will be doing his B licence, A licence then Pro licence.

"These things are sequential and Paul needs to be in a position to start the Pro licence in the summer of 2010.

Does anybody think this is crap? How does Blackburn appoint someone without pretty much any of the required qualification.

I think UEFA should just scrap the requirements, as the obvioulsy aren't requirements anymore. Everybody gets away without having the right badges. Southgate, Grant, Ince, Roeder.

Another reason it should be scrapped. Look at some of the managers who do have the license who shouldn't: Keegan, Souness, Benitiez, Jewell, Hutchinson.

Pfff, crap rules which are flaunted at every turn.
