Old Everton Pictures

...oh dear, the fella in the background dressed in black.
Yes and he was just desperate to give a goal for Heighways shot but unfortunately for the RS Thomas it went well wide.
Oh well thought Clive there is still plenty of time to defraud Everton. Let's hope I can disallow a perfectly good goal for them in the last minute...
That train journey home from Manchester was so angry

..I was on the floor of that dreadful Kippax end for 5 mins and didn't know he'd disallowed it.

We were celebrating like mad because no one even considered it would be disallowed. Later Thomas contradicted himself about whether he had given it for offside or handball. It was neither.
I am still bitter and annoyed

I feel your pain.

Same here mate, there was a whole load of Blues on the floor none knowing the B..... had disallowed it.
If you watch the red lot the keeper the defenders thier heads are down, and out no protest they knew it was a good goal walking back to kick off - the the B stole the limelight - did it later in the World Cup blowing up on the final whistle when a goal was a yard from going over the line - one B of a referee would have been demoted for those incidents happened now!

You missed f------ out.

Quite right. I thought I would never see the like again, then along came Collina (who I thought was a brilliant ref, until he disallowed Duncan's goal. If ever there was a move by the European football authorities to keep England from having 5 teams in the Champions League group stage, that was it). I believe he was brought out of retirement for that game...

Or maybe not, knowing how they are all in it together

Worst decision ever, worse than Collina, worse than Clattenberg, worse than...'k it, the list is endless really - no wonder we're bitter.
