With the great news that Jags has signed a five year deal and with the signing of Arteta and Cahill to longer deals- I was asking myself who really will be next?!
Moyes was quoted as saying about Richard Wright that the 'door was slightly a jar' for him when released as Moyes needed to find cover. But with the news he has signed for west ham - I think we will definitely see a goalkeeper coming in, probably an older one with plenty of experience maybe a Dean Kiely or a Roy Carrol.
I personally think that a new striker is still very much a possibility and I dont think its the end of the Nugent saga- there has to be a reason Sunderland dropped their interest after they were so keen to get him. Who knows what is happening behind the scenes, perhaps we are angling for a lower fee.
Cover for Joey at centre back is a must, even if its a loan. I know Jags can play there but I think he will become integral to the team in other positions- (midfield)
We are still crying out for a left sided midfielder and my personal choice would be Gareth Barry of villa. I think this one is more acheivable than Gamst and would cost significantlt less. He has the right attitude and fits perfectly into Moyes ethics of hardwork and team spirit.
So who knows- I think we will get our one BIG name of the summer but who will it be?! Riquleme? Gamst Pederson? Gattuso?!
