One of the best moments of my life

Quality. I even came home early from badminton so I caught the whole match. Brilliant night, and a brilliant day taunting the plastic Manc fans at school the next day :D

I ended up nearly on my head about 4 rows in front of me, you hear people say things like that and you think its an exaggeration but honest to god, it took me about 5 minutes to find my seat after that goal.

It did look (and sound) an incredible atmosphere there. One of those nights when you just knew we were going to win. The crowd that night rattled them, really rattled them, so much so it got two of their most experienced players sent off. Brilliant stuff :D

I was in work that night and I'll never forget me and my mate sean (another die hard toffee) celebrating with a well earned cup of coffee, having a good cheer and a laugh and this utd fan walked in and said -

"bloody hell, anybody would think they had won the league"

and all I could think was, I tell you what I wouldn't swap beating you arrogant bastards for the league!

DUNCAN FERGUSON is a LEGEND and shame on anybody for saying otherwise, the memories he gave to a disillusioned generation were precious and golden.

[Poor language removed], shame on me:P

Great post, unforgettable goal. Thanks for the Vid link, hairs on neck moment no matter how many times you watch it...!

i was the only blue in a bar in town, such is the relative paucity of blues in the area, i got talking with four man ure fans, it got to talking point when keane hit cahill really hard, so hard that cahill was ill (vomited) but still came back second half (commitment and passion) gary 'i hate scousers + something about aids' neville got sent off, and paul scholes got red cards. scholes was the dangerman that night, his passing was excellent, if the finishing from anyone including rooney had matched amateur then we would have been on for a draw at best.

leaving the pub i went to grab some food, one of the man ure fans was on the street out of the pub and gave it the "united" chant - to which i replied 'got beat'

cant be sure why i loved those three points more, because we stuck one on the man ure scum or because the kopshites were expecting us to lose handsomely and for them to inch closer to fourth place.

One of my all time favourite goals. Memorable because it was quite a warm night, drizzling constantly, the tempo had picked up and we had them on the back foot for over 30 minutes. Constant pressure from us, it was just a matter of waiting for it to go in, manu were not giving up either they.
Dunc's celebration just made it unforgettable. 3 points sure, but one hell of a memory.

I remember sitting about 1 meter form the TV screen, headphones on, with the volume turned up as high as possible so I could hear the crowd. I think I smoked 2 packs of cigs in 90 min, but if I get cancer becasue of that match it'll have been worth it.
