Turfman

Player Valuation: £150k
Former lurker, now participant. Been following Everton about 10 years now. Can not say what drew me to Everton, just seemed to make sense at the time. My biggest challenge used to be finding a game broadcast. But lately it has improved and I can see most games. I have had fun reading the posts and at first was sometimes baffled at the slang and idioms used here, but getting used to it.

hi turfman my name is carlos 21 if you need any help.

Kitchener, a bit west of Toronto, and my frustration with the Leafs and the NHL in general is what caused me to look for another sport to follow. Although my son is a leaf fan and most of my co-workers so I cant get away form them. And the son of a family friend plays for their farm system.

nice one kid.

Welcome!

I was in Toronto last year, watched us play Newcastle at home in a sports bar and was the only one paying attention to the footy.

Wish I knew of a bar which had some Toronto Blues to watch the game with.

Boss place. The NHL teams were on lockout when I went so was gutted I couldn't go to a Leafs game.

Yup, Sallywags in Toronto (Yonge and St.Clair) is about the best I have found, usually about 8-10 fellow Blues for each game. It is abit out of date but Toronto Toffees have a website and call Scallywags home.

Scallywags?

Thought you was just having a laugh with Scallywags ffs

I went to Boston Pizza next to Sheppard Centre on Yonge Street and where I stayed was only a 20 minute drive from Scallywags.

Ah well, when I'm back I'll be going there. (y)

Yup, Scallywags is our 'official' pub, but a few tend to float around and also go to a place called the Jason George around Front & Jarvis area. But you'll always find a handful of blues in Scally's on match day.

I've been really lazy this season and just haven't bothered with the website, mainly coz I couldn't get any other TorontoToffees interested in doing stuff for the site.

Anyway, Turfman, welcome to GOT.
