Nice and colourful and that, but I wish those giant bees would go away, sick of them already.

I do love how the Swinton Insurance ads have had a huge cultural influence on the South African support though.

Do we (as in England) get to sing a song too? Ol' tubby Cordon and Dizzy Rascal?

Thought it was absolutely brilliant. Usually I find opening ceremonies f**king interminable and switch off after 5 minutes, my excitement for the coming competition having been dented, but what I saw of this was excellent.

Unfortunately RTE only showed about half an hour before launching into their own coverage.
 

Thought the cultural/ethnic displays were interesting....then R Kelly came out and all i could think of was his pedo video

These type of things are always overly cultural. Which is why I didn't watch it. I'm sure it was dull.

In England, if you've ever done something wrong and get knicked, normal procedure is a "no comment" interview. Where you answer every question with......"no comment"...

So my offical comment on your post is....."no comment".

Missed it. I'm surmising there was giant footballs opening out with Zulu warriors jumping out; Sepp Blatter bigging himself up and Winnie Mandela going through people's pockets?
