organising a sportsmans dinner

I was wondering did anyone know how to setup one of these sportsman dinners with players past and possibly present with comidians obviously i know u have to fork a few quid out for there services like but any links to websites or anything thanks.

Done a few of these over the years, word of warning...............using an agency can be expensive as they normally pair the speaker with a comic. If you are raising funds for charity and have someone in mind try the direct approach it can be a lot cheaper. Last one I did was for Zoe's Place, speaker and comic took £1350 for a nights work......................., could have bought so much more for those desparate parents!

Cheers lads ive contacted a few agencys to be honest but ive got a few contacts who know a few comics and possiby a few ex players ive sorted a venue and hot and cold buffett so just trying to sort 2 ex players and a comidian mark ward is one i wouid like to get after the [Poor language removed] hes been through but lets see what happens thanks again.
