He wasn't.

But he probably would have failed any old way :pint2:
He was given time to settle given game time and still looked very poor. He was assessed constantly in training by professionals and was finally given a game in our first 'competitive match under Koeman and looked poor, laughably so.
We're a professional football club not a crap player rehabilitation charity, (although at times over the last few years I'm not so sure :) )

He only played in that behind closed doors Austrian game didnt he?

Hit the post after a "mazy" run.

He really wasnt given proper game time. Come on! A couple of minutes here and there in an absolutely dire team full of internal conflict that had given up the ghost ages ago.

I reckon Niasse has something about his game but he is very rough around the edges and Koeman wants players who can contribute straight away or are youngsters with ability who can be in and around the first team whilst playing for the U23s. Niasse is none of these hence him being jibbed off. I reckon he may surprise a few. Not that he will be great, he wont be, but he wont be as bad as people make out given half a chance.

What "competitive game".

Let's be honest we will all be watching hull games or highlights ... i know i will ha

Most definitely and apparently they are paying his full wage!

Oh my that's interesting, what exactly have Hull seen from him?

Who knows, Silva reckons Niasse can kick start his Premiership career with Hull, which is telling me between the lines the lad oozes bad attitude more than anything.

People trying to make a case for this lad not being given a chance. Get in the real world please, if we'd given him 7 starts this season we'd be near the relegation zone. It's not one of those "he just needs time to bed in lads", he is not a footballer. He will not "do well" for Hull, and we are going to have to go through the process of trying to get rid of him all over again in the summer, pull yourselves together.

Can't get the link to open on my phone, do they mean us getting him or Hull?
Let's not forget the whole Everton side was a flop after him came over.

Didn't Chelsea buy Torres in Jan? For me that was massive flop for what they paid.

You can not compare a player who scored goals in European semi finals and finals for his club, with Oumar Niasse, the janitor from Tesco. Please stop.

Mickles clearly doesn't fear the vaults...

indeed.

Simply for the fact he was so much more high profile than Omar and cost a heck of a lot more money in an era before the hyper inflation of the past year or so, Torres must rank as a worse January punt than Niasse IMO.

Ditto Andy Carroll.

Unbelievable. Torres contributed SOMETHING to Chelsea, he scored against Barca and in the Europa League final. In no way, shape or form was he a worse buy than Niasse, what planet are you on?
