Our problem left side

This just came to me as i was posting about greatest players never to play for everton. I read that recoba is leaving Inter Milan in the summer because he is under used.

He just turned 31 in march so still young enough. He is the original player who you describe as having a 'left foot like a wand'. I saw him up close last month when Uruguay tore apart South Korea in Seoul. He was man of the match. And that was an understatement.

We are going to have a bit off cash to spend in the summer. Wouldn't it be great to get a player of genuine world class quality like him?

Is it just me or does that look like the most exciting everton midfield in living history?

He's not an Everton left midfielder because he doesn't work hard. Put him in the hole and he'd be wonderful but not on the left side.

to replace ozzy perhaps? bruce, i saw him up close and personal. this guy was better than everyonre on the field. and korea were playing a pressing game at home. he still tore through them. left or hole positions... he would add invention and guile. just like zola did to chelsea before they went crap.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I think Recoba is a wonderful player. I think if he played anywhere but Inter for so long he'd have been recognised as such, but Inter tends to be something of a graveyard for world class strikers. He's a serious talent, I'm just not sure we'd see him tracking back or helping out his full back hence why if he were to come he'd have to go up front or in the hole.

Id prefer to buy a young winger with potential rather than go for a big name towards the end of his career, someone like Kirean Richardson, Micheal Kightley maybe Giles Barnes (if he sorted out his attitude problem).

Still reckon faddy would make a good prem winger if he gave up the striker goal!

but then again im expecting beattie to score before the end of the season!

well.. perhaps moyes will suprise us with a young talented left footer in the summer. lets hope so! i know recoba is the wrong side of 30 but i only mentioned him as he really is an amazing talent.
