Why should they get some clown that got himself sacked from a championship club over Big Sam? Big Sam would be perfect for them.

Sam is no better an option, and brings far more baggage

Tbf Sam has proven himself over and over again in this kind of situation. Rowett deserves another chance somewhere but if i was Palace chairman then Sam would be clear front runner.
Seems likely that Pardew sacking may also have been partly for non-footballing reasons.

What's the point of taking a gamble on an unknown when Big Sam is proven over 20 odd years. You only have to look back to last year with Sunderland to show that Sam can do what Palace need.
Because Rowett has impressed and doesn't have Sam's baggage

There were reasons for him losing his job at Birmingham, none of which were to do with his ability as a manager. He turned a floundering club around and then new owners decided they wanted their own man, so went and got him
