Tough call. Depends on the squad that's around them. Wouldn't need Baines for free kicks if Sheedy was there, so PVDH would make a tougher defence. Without Sheedy and if the defence was solid anyway I'd go for Baines for his creativity.

Pat was actually right footed and was able to play anywhere in the back four.
I'd have Baines in terms of sheer football ability ahead of Pat's physicality.

Pat better defender and can play centre back .
Better footballer than he was given credit for he just wasn't a thug.
Liked Baines but would have Pat. all day long
